Is Your Vision Blurry?
Using a Vision Board to Attract Success
Are you using the power of visualization to manifest your goals? Well you should be and vision board is a great way to do that as it provides stimulation for your sub conscious mind. Our minds are often contemplating millions of thoughts and a lot of those serve no good purpose at all. Many people are unaware of what is really going on in their own heads.
A vision board also known as mind map, dream board; to keep it simple it is your goals brought to life in picture format. It is the visuals that will energize and inspire you if it is visible and reviewed often.
You may be asking yourself “Do I really need a vision board?
My question to you is how motivated are you to have your goals realized? A vision board helps to engage the sub conscious mind so that the answers to help you realize your goals come to you at a quicker pace. We are 56 days into 2008 and you have hit some snags in realizing your goals. Imagine how powerful it would have been to have a vision board that quickly got you to refocus back on the track to success.
Do you have pictures or souvenirs of special times in your life? Don’t you get a warm and fuzzy feeling when you look at them and think back to that experience? Well a vision board can do the same thing for you.
You can have a vision board that focuses on specific areas of your life (Family, Health, Vacation, Money etc….). If the concept of a vision board is new to you then I suggest that you narrow it to just one vision board. As you start to see the fruits of your vision board manifesting in your life, then you can update your board by having specific ones for each goal. The key thing to remember is that it is suppose to energize YOU, if it doesn’t then the purpose is defeated. To truly reap the benefits of your board you need to look at it every day in the morning and at night. Spend some time visualizing how the images make you feel and what you need to do to make the images realized. Ideally you want to form this new habit for 30 days and you should start to notice that suggestions to help you realize the images from your vision board start to come to you. You need to be open and aware of the messages that start appearing in your life, then quickly act on them.
Create your Vision Board in 5 Easy Steps
- Get your Goal list out. Choose which of the goals you want to focus on your board.
- Get materials. A poster board, magazines that you can cut the images out of, affirmations and quotes that inspire you.
- Cut out images that represent success in your goals.
- Construction. Arrange the images and then glue them in place.
- Commitment. For the next 30 days commit to a set amount of time to daily review your vision board. (Ex: 5 -10 minutes in the morning and the evening)
“ A vision board gives people a reason to sit down and think about their lives.” Cheryl Richardson
It is in the awareness you receive from reviewing your vision board that the success you want will manifest. Cheers to you on your journey.
Your comments and thoughts are always appreciated.
